KIDS ALIVE INTERNATIONAL

“The First Fruits Grant was used to fund our AWANA program for the year at the Mission TEC Care Center near Pucallpa, Peru. Upwards of 275 kids aged 5 through 12 come on a regular basis to the programs. The funds cover the AWANA materials for teaching and Bible memorization, games and refreshment for two club programs each week.”

CIFT Counseling

“Due to the First Fruits Grant and the generosity of the ROCKHARBOR community, lives have been changed! Monies from the grant were placed into our scholarship fund, allowing individuals, couples, and families to receive services they would not have received otherwise. As a result, marriages have healed and are thriving; individuals are free from the thoughts, feelings and experiences that have burdened them for years; children are experiencing family life that is stable, healthy and secure and, as a result, are living into God's full design for them. Change has come, and it has been good! In our profession, we are often forced to speak in generalities, protecting the identity of those who seek out our care. Suffice it to say that many who have experienced traumatic, life-altering circumstances (death, infidelity, abuse, abandonment) have found hope and freedom. They've been given their lives back.”

Campus Crusade for Christ

UCLA [ERIN CRUMLEY] "I met Cate four years ago when she was a freshman at UCLA. She had a tragic fall quarter and it was a really dark time, but she also started seeking truth and was drawn to the believers she met. She started attending Cru meetings and Bible studies and sought out the believers she knew, but she always said she just couldn't believe. Her sophomore year, God opened her eyes to see and really understand truth, and she's been completely transformed since. This past year was so amazing seeing transformation really come full-circle. She became a leader in Cru and served on the leadership team in the Greek ministry. She has a heart for the lost unlike anyone else I know, and she considers herself sent into the workplace to be a vessel for God's Kingdom. Thank you for being an essential part of God's work in Cate's life!”

One Challenge International

“Your gift this year helped us teach all the seniors at Black Forest Academy the fundamental place of the love of God in their identity and how this affects all their other relationships.”

Church Resource Ministries

“Because of ROCKHARBOR's investment in our ministry, we’ve seen stories of redemptive change God is causing at a middle school in Long Beach, at the Grand Junction Sheriff’s Department, in city government in Orange, with foster youth in Warren, Michigan, at a Montessori preschool in RSM, among the homeless living along the railroad tracks in LA, at a nursing home in Lawndale, an elementary school in Eastvale, or among unwed mothers in a rural part of Michigan. Soon, we’ll be able to describe the fruit God brings as churches in Mission Viejo, Irvine, Kalispell, Montana, Mesquite, Texas, Warren, Michigan, urban Chicago, Naples, Florida, and Terrell, Texas launch missional ministries in their communities."

Global Teaching Network

“Our First Fruits gift was used for in-country expenses while in Cameroon. On one of the days, we went to a remote village to engage in evangelism, divided up into three teams, and invited everyone to watch a film. After overcoming some technical difficulties with sound we showed the film and gave an invitation to accept Christ. Twenty-three souls joined God's family out of two hundred in attendance. Praise God!”

Wycliffe Bible Translators

“Our First Fruits Grant has been used in a number of ways - the most notable of which has been the training we are required to have in order to leave for Papua New Guinea. This grant enabled us to go to Orlando last October for the required Wycliffe orientation training that has helped prepare our family for living a missional life overseas. The grant has also helped pay for the linguistics training Nathan needs for translation work.”

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

“The First Fruits gift was used to host our annual FCA Night of Champions event in Orange County. Almost 1,000 junior high and high school students packed Mariners Church in Irvine where they worshiped, listened to top athletes get interviewed and to a speaker share about walking with the Lord while being a student athlete. Almost 100 kids came to know the Lord either for the first time or as a rededication that night!”

Fearfully Made

“Because of First Fruits, we were able to help one of the mothers of sponsored children in the village Guru Guru purchase a piece of land. Her name is Angneyo and is a mother of 7 children with no income except what she can harvest from her farming efforts. Last year she and her children were living in a half-built and unsafe hut. Her landlord was charging her an outrageous price for rent and he and his family was actually stealing from her when she was away from the home. Pastor Hibu and I quickly found a empty hut owned by one of elderly church members and we were able to move her family into it. Angneyo was able to put a down payment of two goats down on a new piece of property. Hibu asked me if I would like to help pay the balance of the property, which was about $73.00 USD. I said yes and the transaction happened last week. Agneyo and her family now are land owners. Plans for a new hut will be happening soon on the new land where she will be able to farm and raise animals on.”

Free Wheelchair Mission

“Free Wheelchair Mission received $5,000 to fund 64 wheelchairs to China at a cost of $77.91 each including manufacturing, shipping, assembling, and fitting. Each recipient is provided with a gospel message that God loves them and has not forgotten His children. The CCC follows up with each recipient to make sure their spiritual, social. and emotional needs are met.”
