THE
ANNUAL REPORT
2015-2016
COSTA MESA
LETTER FROM
CAMPUS PASTOR - KIT RAE

Last September, we launched a new mission statement for all RH campuses: “We are a church of communities following Jesus as we worship, pray, and love others in Orange County and beyond.”

Throughout the past 12 months, we’ve focused on the three pillars of this statement –  worship, prayer, and loving others. We’ve learned new ways to worship through Storytelling Weekends, where we celebrated what God is doing in and through ROCKHARBOR. We’ve seen people baptized and making first-time decisions to follow Jesus. And we’ve continued to encounter God in amazing ways in all our weekend gatherings.

We stepped into Awaken prayer walks, which gave us the opportunity to approach our community with fresh eyes, as we covered our neighborhoods in prayer. This coincided with our Neighboring series, and we accepted the challenge to learn the names of our neighbors and to begin cultivating the habit of praying for those next door.

Loving others has been lived out in familiar ways through our schools initiative, life groups, and local and global partnerships. We also helped launch RH’s first out-of-state campus in Charlotte, North Carolina. This has given us the opportunity to see God move in unique ways in another part of the country, and we’ve been encouraged by the stories from their community and leadership. Additionally, three church plants are about to be commissioned right here in our own county. With Redwood Community in Fullerton, The Table in San Clemente, and Reunion Church in Santa Ana, we’re seeing new Gospel communities raised up and sent into our county.

I have been overwhelmed by the radical generosity of you, ROCKHARBOR Costa Mesa. It has been an encouragement to see you embrace the vision God has given our church, as you’ve continued to step out in faith by sacrificing your time and finances for the advancement of God’s kingdom both here in Orange County and beyond.

This Annual Report looks back at the July 2015 – June 2016 fiscal year. In the pages that follow, you’ll see how every dollar given to RHCM was used. You’ll have the opportunity to relive the highlights of this last year of ministry together. And you’ll be able to celebrate stories of God’s faithfulness – many from our own community and others from like-minded ministries and organizations that your giving helps support through First Fruits.

By God’s grace and by your faithful giving to ROCKHARBOR, we have seen God do some incredible things this year. I am filled with gratitude and thanksgiving for the part that each of you played.
